Since that time, only some Canadian collector coins are minted using silver.
Another popular manner of investing is silver bullion bars or rounds. Various companies produce these in types from grams and oz to kilos and 100 oz bars. Engelhard and Johnson Matthey are two of the best and most respected and well-known manufacturers. Other widely used silver bullion producers are APMEX, Silvertowne and WallStreet Mint. Expect to pay some more for the Engelhard along with JM than for the others indeed, you will pay less of a premium for the larger bars than for the small ones. Many countries produce and sell either silver bullion coins and bars. The U.S.A. Silver American Eagle, Canadas Maple Leaf Coins, China’s Panda and the Australia Koala are just a few of these.
