are there any genuine paid-to-surf sites around nowadays that actually pay, or are they all just a big scam?
SCAM!!!
Not joking, been there – done that!!! It is really a scam that they make a lot of money from and you get nothing.

Copy the link, paste it into WORD, delete anything after the .com/org/net part of the domain name and go to the site (then if you still think it looks ok, google it and see what people say about it!).
Also look at it’s “Alexa” page rank (got to alexa.com and type the domain name like www.site.com and click “traffic details, if there is a HUGE spike, then you know the site is brand new to scam people and if it has been going for like 3 years, then you might think about trusting it a bit more).
