Surf Adjustable

Adjustable fin box placement?
I just a got a Huevo ranchero (by Fletcher Choinard) with a 2+1 setup with an adjustable center fin. I talked a bit to the guy who sold it to me about the adjustable center fin but i didnt quite understand. what are some of the possibilities for the placement of the fin. It is 6.5 inches long. The board is 6’8” x 21” x 2.5” if that helps. Im surfing up in new england too.
There are a couple things you can do here. First you can either go talk to some guys at a local surf shop and they’ll be able to explain it better. The second thing is just mess with it. There is no right or wrong way, it is whatever you feel comfortable with. A half inch could make a huge difference. When getting a new long board, i still mess with it because every board is different. I’ll go out and surf, and maybe come in and change it and see how it feels.
