Small Shirt Cuff

tuxedo help?
do the cuffs(and links) have to show, cause im 13 and i got a tux coat, and with that size it doesnt show the cuff(and links) are not showing. my tux shirt size is correct(the guy even measured).
so does this mean i need a smaller size coat
Tradition says you show a quarter inch of cuff, and it does look good that way. Of course, that goes back to the days when most tuxedos were tailored. You’ll look fine without cuff showing.
As I see it, either the shirt sleeves are too short or the jacket sleeves are too long. It’s possible that the shirts come in single-number sizes, so a size 14 might fit your neck but not your arms. If the jacket feels like a good fit everywhere else, it’s probably fine. You can always go back and try the next smallest jacket.
Another option is to put shoulder pads in the jacket, which will pull the sleeves up a little. (That’s if you’re renting. If you’re buying, just take the tuxedo to a tailor. They work miracles, I swear.)
