The trend in ruby rings, pendants, bracelets and other jewelry this year
With the year almost half way through, all eyes are on the latest trends in ruby rings, pendants, bracelets and other jewelry.
Here is a look at some trends that no doubt are going to dominate the upcoming season.
• This season the biggest trend is going to be big, bold or bright jewelry. The thing in 2010 is to make as big a statement as possible. You will definitely see the retail stores proudly displaying beautiful big sized ruby rings, pendants, and other jewelry. You will also see the big earrings, necklaces, hoops, cuff bracelets with embellishments. Also making a glorious return are the big size cocktail diamond, sapphire, emerald and ruby rings.
• The hoop earrings are going to come back with a bang. These hoops will be huge and embellished rather than understated and tiny. For people who don’t like hoop earrings, there always are the really popular chandelier earrings.
• This year the jewelry will not only be flashy but it will be designed in two major ways, organic/natural designs or on the basis of the various geometric patterns. There will be a variety of designs with circular, rectangular or square base. However, there will be a number of designs in diamond and ruby rings featuring leafy and floral prints. Also, a lot of people will sport animal patterns.
• A trend which is going to take a beating this year is mixing and matching the various pieces of jewelry. It is important to try and avoid wearing giant sized necklaces with really big jeweled earrings. It is better to pick up a singular item to wear in an over the top way. The rest of the items are to be kept simple or unadorned. The best thing this year is that the trend to go big will make it easy to stand out even when dressed casually.
• One trend that is surely going to catch up in a big way is that of personalizing the jewelry. The main emphasis is going to be on personalized diamond or ruby rings and pendants or bracelets.
• Also, this year will see a number of the so called “outside the box” pieces of jewelry coming into the limelight. You will see weird but interesting pieces of jewelry like earrings designed as city maps, ancestry necklaces displaying a whole family tree. The attention is going to be on things that really are different.
