I am thinking of selling premier designs jewelry-
any info would be help full
like..
how much does it cost to start up?
how much would i make on an average show?
how much does it cost to maintain?
how is the company to work for?

I had a friend who sold PD for several years. She did it part time, in addition to her regular job, and though she certainly couldn’t have quit her day job, I do think she made a small amount of extra pocket cash for fun stuff for herself. The buy-in at that time (for the initial start-up kit) was around $1200 (although she bought a LOT of stuff), so plan for some up-front expenses before you begin to make a profit. I’m sure some previous reps on this page can give you the specifics if you don’t know a rep yourself.

A few other questions to consider: do you have a large network of friends/coworkers/family who have other friends, all who might interested in buying jewelry? Making a profit after the buy-in is a numbers game, so consider this seriously. Are you very comfortable with asking people you know well (and those you don’t) to buy from you (some folks aren’t)? Then ask yourself, whatt KIND of jewelry do your friends wear? My personal opinion on Premier Designs is that it is very expensive, considering that it is made of cheaper, costume-jewelry style materials — light metal or plasticy materials with a silvery finish, in many cases. I have two pieces, and the finish is completely flaking off after two years. Really, there’s nothing necessarily wrong with that, and some people won’t mind a bit, especially if they buy “trend” jewelry and wear it for just a season, a year or so. Me, personally, I know I can buy 925 sterling or 10k gold for a comparable price, if I’m very savvy, and I’ll always choose a higher-quality material, even if the design is basic, over a very cute but short-lived Premier Designs piece. But that’s just a matter of personal taste.

So in other words, if you have friends/family/coworkers who prefer “the genuine article” or who are a from a classier, fine jewelry set, they may not really love the products. But, if you know quite a few people who love costume jewelry (some of it really is adorable!) and are interested in paying a little more for it if they like the design, and/or if they enjoy the company at the PD parties (this is important! Half of what you pay for is the fun and good times, right?), then it might be a good fit. I know some people who go absolutely bananas over PD.

Talk to several folks who have sold it but who don’t have anything to gain by your joining the company. This will be a big help!
