Is the origin of the peace sign a good informative speech topic?
for my speech class we have to give informative speeches and i was going to do mine on the origin and meaning behind the peace sign. it has become so commercial especially among my generation and i wonder how many actually know about it. i see so many chicks with it on their cars along with some sort of generic bob marley or rasta sticker and it seems almost wrong when the symbol means something totally different to say, vietnam vets or the CND.

I’m sure that it would be interesting, but do you know the origin? it was designed towards the end of WW2. it is the letters N and D done in semaphore flag symbols for Nuclear Disarmament.
