Leather Boots Buying Guide

A fabulous pair of leather boots is always a must-have for any woman. I’m sure all of us at one point have owned a pair of leather boots. But frankly, plain black and brown leather boots bore the pants off of me. That’s why I’ve concocted a buyer’s guide to fashionable and unique leather boots.

Patent Leather Boots

We all know that patent leather has made a big comeback, both in the fashion world and in our closets. Gone are the days where patent leather shoes were only worn by go-go dancers, strutting their stuff on the dance floor. Now, shoe designers like Jimmy Choo and Steve Madden have embraced patent leather in their own fabulous designs. Two really hot designs out there are the equestrian-style tall boot and the bootie. Cole Haan’s Black Collection Fabriza Tall Boots’for $595 is an outstanding patent leather equestrian boot that is so chic, everyone will take notice. It’s such a beautiful leather boot because not only does it give off a nice sheen from the patent leather, but it’s so comfy with its flat heel and rubber sole.

Not to be outshined by the tall boot, patent leather booties is a trend that can be seen anywhere. From New York to Paris women simply adore these shiny booties because of its versatility and stylish design. For example the Martinez Valero Susu Boot for $80 is an awesome find at a great price. Plus with its extra high heel, you’ll definitely feel fierce strutting the streets with these booties.

Suede Boots

Many of us overlook buying suede boots. Why? Well because they’re either too expensive or hard to maintain. But in reality, suede boots are a great luxurious alternative to the regular leather boot. Probably one of the most well-known, most popular suede boots are UGGs. You know you’ve owned a pair of these ultra soft and warm boots. Scoff if you may, but you have to admit, that these popular snow boots have evolved into sort of a staple among young women everywhere.

But hey, if you’re not into the UGG-look, there are a wide variety of suede leather boots out there in the market. I suggest trying on something like the Spiegel Tall Bow Boot for only $59. This shoe is a great tall boot that has a classic pointed toe and cute bow accent on the top’which would look fabulous with a great dress under a gorgeous trench.

Colored Leather Boots

Finally, the last tip to finding a great pair of leather boot is to find one that has a little color. Grant it, every woman should have at least one black boot. But if you’re on the prowl for a leather boot that’s a little more special, colored leather boots are the perfect choice. Lots of brands like Dolce & Gabbana and Nine West have some out with fierce looking boots with a wide array of colors. Some hues to look out for are deep, saturated colors like dark blue, olive green, maroon and caramel brown. These colors not only add a pop of color but are suttle enough to be worn as a neutral.

As you can see, leather boots don’t have to be boring or repetitive. Now more than ever, designers are releasing some fabulous styles, just waiting to be purchased. From patent leather to suede boots, leather boots are a must-have.
