Cool Stainless Steel TAG Heuer Meridiist 2 SIM-myluxphone
TAG Heuer has launched a limited edition variant of its already-expensive Meridiist handset that’s branded together with Lamborghini, creating the mouthful that is the Meridiist Automobili Lamborghini Luxury Mobile Phone. The TAG Heuer Meridiist 2 SIM is very popular now.
Features aren’t really the point, but TAG Heuer says the handset will have a 2-megapixel camera with sliding lens cover, 2GB of memory, a music player, a secondary OLED screen, and a battery with 7 hours talk time or 28 days standby time.
The TAG Heuer Meridiist will be mostly stainless steel, but options for the back plate include calfskin leather, rubber and alligator skin, perfect for waving in the faces of lesser mortals as you pass them on the way to the first-class cabin.
TAG Heuer says we’ll have to fork over €3,400 to €4,500 (£3,160 to £4,180) depending on the model, and promises that ‘diamond-finished’ models with prices starting at €8,500 (£7,890) are on the horizon. Like its luxury competitor the Ulysse Nardin Chairman, the phone will be shown at the Baselworld 2009 watch show, which is held in a bubble universe where the recession isn’t happening and people are still drinking pearls dissolved in wine.
Like most guys I have a fascination with gadgets and toys. The difference between men and boys is the price of their toys. There is a new gadget for me to drool over. Tag Heuer Lamborghini has come out with its own cell phone design. I love gadgets but there is nothing better than a great looking phone to get me drooling every time.
Tag Heuer has kept their new phone along the same design line as their watches. The Tag Heuer Meridiist elegantly combines colors and materials to create a work of art that you can make phone calls with. The phone is made with corrosion resistant watch making steel and dual 60.5 carat sapphire crystal displays. Yes, dual displays. There is a 1.9 inch QVGS main display. The second display constantly shows you the time with a monochrome OLED screen.
The list of features continues with Bluetooth, MP3/AAC/MPEG-4 playback, a 2.0 mega pixel digital camera, and a 7 hour talk time. Continuing with high design you have your choice of a rubber or crocodile leather backing. The crocodile leather is a very nice touch. Not only does the phone have a fantastic list of features it is beautifully designed.
The use of materials and overall design is fantastic, as it better be for the over $5,000 dollar price. It is more expensive than my college car. But hey, you only live once so enjoy. Don’t forget to tell everybody that your Tag Heuer Meridiist is Swiss engineered and hand assembled from 430 components.
