ok so ive decided to be a mummy for halloween what can i use for the wrap?
I’ve heard people use guaze (for a first aid kit)and toilet paper BUT which works better and how would layer it , so i guess my question should really be ” how to wrap a mummy for a halloween costume”
So what would you recomend?
Also make it inexpensive?
Cheesecloth is THE BEST, or you can use old sheets. Make a brew with lots of tea bags, or black water-based paint – soak the material overnight, wring out and dry completely. Cheesecloth can be wrapped around your body in full sheets, just make sure you leave space to, uh… use the facilities. If you use old sheets, cut them in long strips to wrap around yourself. You could use safety pins to join the strips together, but it looks better if you tie ends together and leave lots of strings hanging down. I did this a few years ago, and once I was “dressed”, I rolled around in the dirt ( yes, you can laugh now ) to get a real dirty mummy look – it actually looked really authentic it won me first prize at a party !
