Can you advise please on a ring?

My very dear friend of over thirty years brought me back a beautiful silver band ring with inlaid torquoise set in it which he bought in New Mexico from a Navajo reservation. Although traditionally it’s a Navajo wedding ring, thay can also be given as friendship rings which is what he’s done. (My great Grandma was Lakota and she married a Navajo) I love the ring but English people keep telling me that it’s ‘unlucky’ to wear because all such rings should be gold. Is this really true please? or some old superstition. I love the ring and want to wear it. Thank you for your help.

Wear the ring, enjoy it and appreicate it for the manner it was given to you. I have never heard such rubbish as you say English people keep telling you. Think about you have a dear friend of over thirty years it would certainly be ‘unlucky’ if you didn’t wear the ring, your friend was offended and you lost that wonderful friendship. Go on, put your best dress on, get that ring on your finger and take great pleasure out of wearing it.
