Does anyone have a recipe for a cookie with brown sugar, molasses, cinnamon, raisins,…?
…and icing?
I was shopping for handmade soap online and this is the description of one variety. I’m not all that interested in smelling like this but I’d love to eat it! Recipes for this or something similar that could be modified?
Frosted Camp Cookies
1 cup (2 sticks) softened butter
1 cup packed dark brown sugar
1 lg egg
3/4 cup molasses
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp allspice
3 1/4 cup flour
1 1/2 cup raisins
Cream together butter and sugar. Add molasses and egg and beat until fluffy. Add spices, flour, baking soda, and raisins- blend at low speed until all are combined.
-Divide dough in half. Form into logs and wrap in wax paper. Chill for 2 hrs or overnight.
Slice into 1/2 inch slices and place on ungreased cookie sheet about 1 1/2 inch apart.
Bake 300 degrees for 25-27 minutes. Cool well, then frost.

Frosting for Camp Cookies
1 8 oz pkg cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 cup powdered sugar
Whip cream cheese and butter until creamy.
Add vanilla, then gradually blend in powdered sugar.
spread a small circle of icing on top of each cookie. (store in refrigerator, well sealed.)
