Looking at Sterling Silver cz wedding sets….help!?
I am married and have worn a band on my finger. We decided to get a wedding set and are perfectly fine with a nice cz. The only problem is all the places i go to look they are all sterling silver! I heard that they tarnish and my 14K white gold band has held up well. How long can I expect to have my set before I will want to replace it? JCPenney’s has some GORGEOUS cz ss rings and they aren’t cheap…but i’m hesitant. Should I just keep looking for cz’s in white gold? Macy’s had one but i wasn’t too thrilled with it.
I’m hesitant to look online because online. I read reviews from people that bought some on qvc.com and said they got scratched up and didn’t recommend(they were white gold plated…not interested in that).
well you can always try other dealers like arts, rodger and holland or orang blossom online, however i really haven’t heard of a cz ring set as a wedding band, that may need to be special ordered at most places, but most places like rodger and holland arts and actual jewlery stores if you find a setting you like they can usually order the ring in any gold or silver or platinum, and yes silver when worn constantly will wear out and tarnish very quickly, however silveer jewlery clean will remover the tarnish but after years of repetivie use it will destroy the silver band, go for platinum or titanium, becuase even white gold has a tendancy if worn by people wor wear lotions, or other products, can bring out the impurities and turn white gold sort of a dull yellow gold in coloration that cleaner will never remove.
