is it okay to put a 2 gold fishes in a 1 gallon tank?
well i saw a 1 gallon tank in walmart for 9 dollars and i want to have a fish since i already had a dog a cat a rodent and a baby snake once but my uncle asked my mom if he could keep it well it was my mom’s snake but i ussualy take care of it all i want is 2 gold fish but my mom refuse i already have the tank it is tiny but a fish could still go in it but is it okay to put 2 or 3 in it right?
No.
Honestly, gold fish grow up to be 2 feet long. They die much shorter than their life expectancies because of people putting them in smaller tanks.
1 gallon is too small for any fish. Except a beta. Beta fish don’t like much water flow and just like clean water.
I’d say a 5 gallon is the minimum for any other type of fish. I have guppys and they thrive well in it, but I’m trying to get them a bigger tank.
If you get a 5 gallon tank you can put ideally about 5 neon tetras or guppys, or other fish that only grow to about an inch long.
Typically 1 inch of adult fish, per gallon.
(So 1 gold fish requires at least a 24 gallon tank for just itself.)
