questions about making jewelry please…?
1. I want to learn how to put stones on metal cuff bracelets kind of like this look

but I don’t know how, I’m sure you cannot just super glue it, these looks always seem to have a metal barrier supporting the stone. Any ideas on how I can do this? Also where can I but metal cuffs at to decorate? And lastly, tell me your thoughts on using another piece as inspiration please.
At a quick glance, it looks like the cuff may have been made using metal clay, in which case the stone may have been fired in place (i.e. as they formed the bracelet, then set the stone on it, then placed the bezelish thing around it, and fired the clay). Alternatively, they made a bezel setting, soldered it to the band, put the stone in place, then pushed the edges of the bezel over the stone to hold it in place. Wait, just read the product description, it was indeed bezel set.
I would advise taking a metals/jewelry class at your local community college if you would like to do this sort of work. Soldering can be tricky, and it’s best to learn anything involving fire (which this does) in a controlled environment.
