help on my back handspring?

everytime i try without a spot, my hands turn in (my fingers are facing eachother) and i go forward. or sometimes my arms buckle. i am double jointed, so my instructor told me i shouldn’t lock my arms, (it really hurts when i do that) and to keep my arms slightly bent. i need help please

Maybe work on your arm and shoulder strength. I know I used to have a similar issue with back handspring because I didn’t have enough strength. Handstands against a wall for about a minute and a half and really good for your shoulders. Doing push ups are one of the best things for arm strength too. Just keep working on it, and the stronger you are, the easier it should be! Hope this helps!
