Dolphin Spring Open
Different places to visit and things to do in Orlando?
Myself and family have been going to Orlando, Florida for 17 years, last 8 years with our 2 children ages 10 & 8. We have done all the parks including Busch, Aquatica etc and are looking for something different to do. We’ve done the – Airboat Rides, trip to & overnight stay at Clearwater – done the Dolphin seeing cruise, & shopping all the malls, been to Daytona beach and Daytona Speedway track does anyone have some new ideas to escape the busy parks? We travelled to Silver Springs last year on a lovely sunny Tuesday morning and discovered that in October they only open at weekends, so you can imagine our disappointment after driving for over an hour so couldn’t persuade the children to return at the weekend they got feedup travelling!!!
There are plenty of things to do besides Disney and the other theme parks you mentioned in or very close to Orlando. You can look up the book called “The Other Orlando” for some good ideas and advice.

A few great attractions nearby include Kennedy Space Center, Cypress Gardens, Gatorland, and Wonderworks. You and your kids will have a great time and all of these attractions – I’ve been to them and had a blast.
