HELP with Tropical decor and Striped rug?
HI, I wanted your opinions, my living room/diining room have tropical palm tree decorations/frames etc.. and I need a area rug for my living room, would this one I will show you has all the colors I need which are burgundy/taupe/gold, but I am not sure if the stripe will be appropriate, I was thinking more of a solid burgundy rug? but they are hard to find, let me know what you guys thank thanks here is the rug site

I think the stripe is more contemporary, and if your look is tropical you won’t want a contemporary rug.
Why don’t you try a shag or something with long fibers in a neutral taupe? An area rug like this http://houseofarearugs.com/Coffee-Bean-Bamboo-Shag-p-367.html would work with the neutral tones or this http://houseofarearugs.com/Burgundy-Flokati-2000g-p-24.html with the burgundy.
