Been shadowing a criminal solicitor…quite often the police in their statements make up outright li es about the behaviour of the defendant, seemingly to try and get them convicted of a more impressive charge.

The judges seem unperturbed, even when the lies are proven to be daft and in many cases physically impossible.
One guy got accused of “climbing into the front to assault the driver of a police vehicle.”

The police forgot that his hands were cuffed behind his back, and that the vehicle was a van, with a steel wall between him and the driver.

When my partner was a nightclub bouncer, the other bouncers were always getting together and “getting the stories “straight” after an incident. They tried to get him to lie and say the person was out of control, that they did this that and the other. Could it be that junior police officers do the same thing?
