how do I clean the protective coating off new ceramic tiles?

We have just put down new ceramic tiles these seem to have some sort of protective coating on them its almost wax like, I was wondering if anyone knows how to remove this coating. I have tried all sort of common cleaners but none of these seem to work Please can someone help

hi Helen.. have you tried to contact the store you bought it from for advice?if not go to a tile outlet store and ask if they have a stripper/cleaner for tile floors. they should have something or tell you what to pick up..good luck
