Dutch brand “G-Star” was created in 1989 by Jos van Tilburg under the name of “Gapstar” and specializes on raw concept since 1996. These custom tailored jeans are made from raw, but very clean unwashed materials. In the Product Intelligence Center in Basel specialists create the jeans pants of tomorrow. Jeans are cut and smoothed, stonewashed, treated with electroshocks and wax there.
The changes lie rather in details like small label stitchings, rivets, targeted small destroyed parts, or new moderate washes. This summer season the brand presents an all-over-jeans-look including a handbag and beret made from denim. Jeans jackets complete practically every outfit. Streetwear-style brings the width with it – sleeves and trouser legs become wider, and white stitching become visible as sporty stripes, like in the case of “Studs loose handcrafted jeans” model and suiting “Core zip handcrafted jacket”.
