I burst a blood vessel in my wrist. It is all black and blue and hurts. I didn’t hurt myself. How or why?
I am using heat compresses and an Ace bandage and taking megadoses of Motrin, Is this a sign of a health problem or just one of those freaky things?
Use Ice! and lots of it. it’s one of those freaky things, you must have hit it just right. It takes a few weeks to go away, but the swelling and pain will dissipate within a week. It will remain discolored and feel bruised for a few weeks. I just broke a vessel in the back of my hand. All i did was bang it on the back of my kitchen chair when walking by. Right place, right time.. hope you feel better soon…remember…lots of ice.
